Day 1: Tashkent
Upon arrival, you will be met by our driver and start your tour in Uzbekistan. On the day of arrival, you will get acquainted with the sights of our capital. Firstly, you will visit Independence square. It is the main square of the country, which was erected as a symbol of victory over fascism in World War II. Then you will walk along local Broadway, between independence square and Amir Timur square streets. At your request you can take a ride in famous Tashkent metro, which is considered as one of the beautiful subways in the world. The second part of your tour includes visiting of Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex that consists of several madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. The important part is visiting the Othman Quran. It is the world’s oldest Quran copy dating back to 8th century. Quran belonged to Othman Ibn Affan, the Third Caliph and was killed in 8th century. His blood spred over the Quran that you still can see on its pages. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Tashkent – Samarkand (350 km, 4 hrs drive)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start our way to Samarkand. Over the centuries, Uzbekistan’s cities played a major role in the life of the Great Silk Road, the ancient, transcontinental thoroughfare. But, one city stands out as being "the Heart of Great Silk Road"; that city is Samarkand. “The Radiate Point of Globe” is an oriental title bestowed upon Samarkand from earliest times. A contemporary of Rome, Athens, and Babylon, this city has already celebrated its 2750th anniversary, who`s golden age occurred during the Temurid dynasty as this very city was chosen by Emir Temur, the greatest warlord and ruler of the Central Asia after Chingiz Khan, as the capital of his powerful Empire, Movarounnahr. Today you will visit its most outstanding sights such as Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square, a complex of three fascinating Madrasahs dating back to 15-17th centuries, is the main highlight of Samarkand that no person can stop admiring its beauty and majesty. Architectural complex of Shakhi-Zindeh represents a big collection of mausoleums dating back to 11th-15 centuries being a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque was built in honor of favorite Tamerlane’s wife, after his successful campaign in India. Today you will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 3: Samarkand – Yurts camp of Nurata (310 km, 4 hours)
Today in the morning we will transfer to a small town of Nurata. It is situated in the foothills of Nuratau Mountains. The origin of the city is associated with the Nur fortress, which was founded by Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC. But the cultural layer in this area reaches the age of 40 thousand years according to archeological excavations. After arriving you will have a sightseeing tour and it includes visits of the Khasan- Khuseyn Mosque, blacksmith’s and potter’s workshops and a sacred pond with sacred fishes, a place for pilgrimage by Muslim worshipers in Nurata. Also, you will visit the Medressa of Sheihun Hasan Nury, Namazgokh Mosque and remains of so called "Alexander the Great’s Fortress”. After we will continue the drive to yurt camp in dessert where you will spend the night.
Day 4: Nurata – Samarkand
After breakfast you can have a camel tour for some time to a unique Aydarkyl lake, stretching for 250 km along the desert, try freshly cooked fish for a lunch, relax, swim in warm, slightly salted water and sun bath on the picturesque bank. Further we will have a picnic lunch at the lake. After we will continue the drive to Samarkand and on the way, we will have a break where we will stop at Sariamish stone paintings. There are more than 3 000 discovered pictures rocks-petroglyphs displaying animals, people, hunting scenes, lifestyle and even love-making. Upon arrival to Samarkand, you will stay in the hotel to spend the night.
Day 5: Samarkand – Tashkent (350 km, 4.5 hrs)
After breakfast we will drive to Tashkent. There you will visit firstly Courage Monument which is a memorial complex, erected in honor of the elimination of the consequences of the Tashkent earthquake. After visiting Zangi Ota memorial complex you will go to the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, consisting of fine examples of glasses and national clothing, hand and machine embroidery, skullcaps and national fabrics, carpets and woodcarving. It will be your best experience of your traveling. You will leave amazing Uzbekistan with warm memories. At the end of the day you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day 6: Tashkent – Flight
Today is the end of your tour named “The Radiate Point of Globe”. You are returning back. In the morning you will have a transfer to the airport and flight home.
