Day 1: Tashkent
Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and drive to capital city. This day you will explore modern city Tashkent. City tour takes you to the most attractive places like Independent Square, founded for the glory of the victory over the fascist Germany in the Second World War. Later, you will go on walking along the Broadway, which connects Amir Timur Square to Independent Square. During your short walk, you will have much to see. Later you can take an opportunity to ride on one of the most charming metros in the world. Outstanding Tashkent subway runs since 1977. Then you will find yourself in the ancient part of the city and discover blooming Chorsu Bazaar, old Kukaldash Madrasah and other madrasah, mosques and mausoleum in the famous Has Imam complex. The highlight of the complex is the world’s earliest Quran copy from 8th century- Othman Quran. This valuable treasure was the possession of Othman Ibn Affan, who came after the prophet Muhammad. Later he was murdered by non-muslims in 8th c. Nowadays you can see the his blood stains on the book. Night will be at the hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent – Nukus
Travel to Nukus by plane. After arrival, embark on city tour, starting from Museum of Savitsky, where the banned works of art are exhibited. This museum hosts 20th century masterpieces of avant-garde like group of Sokolov, Komarovskiy and Amaravella. The Karakalpakstan state museum’s curator organized the museum exhibition during 1960s. He bought some of the prohibited paintings from soviet artists; some just gave them free. Until the exhibition, he perfectly kept them in Central Asian art house in remote area. After excursion in extraordinary art-house, you will drive to Mizdakhan necropolis in the outskirts of the town. According to the archeological investigations, it was a city during 4th century BC and 14th century AD. Stay in a hotel.
Day 3: Nukus – Ayaz Qala – Tuprak Qala – Khiva
Today’s tour go on to Khiva. It is the most ancient city in Uzbekistan. The history of Khiva closely related with the Khorezmshah’s State, whose capital was Urgench near Khiva. According to the historical evidence, Khiva was the most developed town along the Great Silk Road. In the 10th century resources, it was mentioned that almost all traders from East to West stopped over Khiva. From dawn to dusk the city’s door were open to caravans. On the way, you will visit remains of ancient civilization: Ayaz Qala and Turpak Qala. Ayaz Qala served as a fortress during Khorezm State, was built in II century AD. According to old folklore, it was named for the honor of brave slave warrior Ayaz. Another fortress Tuprak Qala was established in I or II century AD and was kept until 6th century. The name Tuprak means clay fort, in ancient time it was a palace of Khorezmian leader. Continuous conquering and wars over centuries destroyed the forts. Travel to Khiva and stay in a hotel.
Day 4: Khiva – Bukhara
After early breakfast, travel to the city of Bukhara. Bukhara is a unique city with more than 140 historical heritages of Middle Ages. Long and rich history of the town left different examples of architecture close to each other. On the way to Bukhara, you will drive through the sand dunes of Kizilkum deserts. Moreover, you will be able to see the deepest Central Asian River-Amu Darya. It is the joint of Panj and Vakhsh river Tajikistan’s territory. It is also one of the tributaries of Aral Sea. After our arrival, have free time. Overnight in a hotel in Bukhara.
Day 5: Bukhara
Exciting city tour will start from visiting the oldest citadel, known as Citadel Ark going back 4th century during your travel in Uzbekistan. It was a palace for many dynasties during the Bukhara Emirate. Next is going to be the pure masterpiece of 9th-10th century art –Samanids mausoleum. Then authentic atmosphere of the town will take you to the peculiar Chashma Ayub, famous as a Spring of Job, also known as a mosque of forty columns constructed for the glory of the city governor Abu-Fayud Khan. Further, you will get lost in the colorful shopping domes with full of oriental fabric. Another most outstanding madrasahs like Nodir Divan Begi under the Lyabi House Ensemble, the must be site of Bukhara. By the end of the tours, you will enjoy the magical view of the Poi Kalon complex. It consist of three constructions, the unusual examples of artwork dating back to 12th-16th centuries. Day 6: Bukhara – Tashkent
You will take a morning flight to Tashkent. The Courage Monument will be the first site to discover. This is a memorial complex, constructed as a symbol of the eradication of the outcomes of the Tashkent earthquake. Next Zangi Ota memorial complex will follow the itinerary, in accordance to the local legend, Zangi-Oota was a herder and was outstanding by his inteligence and good deeds. Later you will enjoy the excusion in the State Museum of Timurid’s history. It is rich in archealogical findings like jewelry, musical instruments, weapons, various coins, paintings, documents, historical manuscripts and clothing of Timurid’s period. You can see old national clothing, hand and machine embroidery, skullcaps and national fabrics, carpets, woodcarving and many other cultural items. Stay in a hotel.
Day 7: Flight
After interesting tour, you will be transferred to airport to catch a flight.
