Day 1: Ashgabat
Your guide will meet you at the airport to begin your travel. Entire day will be devoted to explore the city. Ashgabat, the capital city located close to Kopet Dag mountain, near the Iran Border. The history of foundation goes back to 1881. The name of the city from Persian language means “city of love”,  “eshg” means love, abad is popular suffix for populated places. City tour will include Lenin’s square, Park of Independence and Arch of Neutrality. Afternoon, deep excursion in Museum of Ethnography and Museum of Fine Arts will be the highlight of the day. These museums are treasure of Turkmen culture and history. Night in a hotel.

Day 2: Ashgabat – Kow-Ata
Travel to explore mysterious site Kow Ata, which is magical underground lake in Turkmenistan. We will drive 107 km to Kow Ata from the capital. Translation from Turkmen Kow Ata means “Father of Caves”.  The size of the cave often reminds huge hall. It stretches 230m in length, 20 in height and 57 m in width. The base of the cave is limestone and the water is clear and has beautiful color. The temperature is very warm reaching 33–37°C (it is possible to swim in the lake)

Day 3: Kow-Ata – Nokhur
Tour will continue to Nokhur village (in 120 km), which is located in the depression area of famous Kopet Dag Mountain. It has interesting atmosphere with authentic houses. Here locals build their houses from the smooth stones derived during the erosion. Only Main Street is wider, others are very narrow streets between high boulder walls, where only one car can drive through.  Inhabitants of Nokhur have many cultural differences compare to other Turkmen tribes. The mountainous location close to the border with Iran is one of the main reason of why people of Nokhur could save their pure traditions and culture. The population of the village is approximately 2000 people.

Day 4: Nokhur – Darwaza – Dashoguz
In the morning, move to Gas Crater Darwaza. It is also popular as the gate of hell. Night in a tent. You may observe the fantastic view of the crater at daylight and at night, feel the heat and listen to the wind and the sound that this giant oven creates. After enjoying the view of amazing Darwaza drive to Dashaguz. Night in a hotel. 

Day 5: Dashoguz – Kunya Urgench – Ashgabat
Today’s tours are planned to visit architectural and archeological sites of the North province of Turkmenistan. Here you will see Old Urgench, the capital city of Khorezm in X-XII centuries. In addition to the Mausoleum of Najm al-Din al-Kubra, Tyurabek Khanum, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, you will visit the tallest minaret of Central Asia, Kutlyg Timur. Then you will take evening flight to Ashgabat. Night will be in a hotel. 

Day 6: Ashgabat – Merv – Mary
Today we will start day earlier and go on the footsteps of ancient trade road in the east Turkmenistan. First site is ancient Abiverd fortress. This setllement has remarkable place in the history together with Merv, Kunya-Urgench, Nissa and Dakhistan. Abiverd is situated on the way from Ashgabat to Mary. Except the fort, there are remains of old Seyit Jamal-ad-Din Mosque dating back to 15th century. Mohammed Khudaiot supported this mosque’s foundaition in 1456. Further, continue your journey to Mevr. It was one of the largest and most developed cities on the Great Silk Road. Mevr had significant role in Islam World on the same level with Cairo, Baghdad and Damascus. In Mevr, you will visit Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Soltan Gala, Soltan Sanjar Mausoleum and Ibn Zeid Mausoleum. After excursion, drive to Mary and stay in a hotel.

Day 7: Mary – Ashgabat – Nisa – Horse farm – Ashgabat
In the morning, you will have plane back to Ashbagat. Upon arrival travel to Nisa fortress. It was the Parthian Kings’ Sanctuary. Nisa was listed into the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. In addition, we will have opportunity to see famous Turkmen horse farms. Turkmen breed- Akhal Teke is an honor of the country; here there will be short show of graceful horses. Return to Ashgabat. Stay in a hotel.

Day 8: Flight
After having breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to airport.
